Dwarka — Where Krishna's Kingdom Lives
Dwarka, the sacred city and ancient kingdom of Lord Krishna, invites pilgrims into a journey of devotion and wonder. Every temple, every ghat, every legend breathes life into eternity.
Heart of Devotion
Dwarkadhish Temple
The sacred heart of Dwarka, where Krishna’s presence resonates in every prayer. A five-story marvel built on 72 pillars, standing for over an ancient pilgrimage site, with the present temple built around the 15th–16th century.
Legends of the Divine Lord Krishna
Where the melody of Krishna’s flute once echoed across golden halls, where divine love stories were written in the sands of time.
Dwarka, the city that rose from the sea at Krishna’s command, stands as eternal testimony to miracles beyond mortal understanding.
“In Dwarka, every stone whispers tales of the divine…”
Sacred Schedule
Dwarka Temple Rituals & Darshan Timings
Mangla Aarti
6:30 AM – The first aarti of the day, when Lord Dwarkadhish is gently woken with bells, conch shells and devotional songs. Reach by 6:00 AM, because this is one of the most spiritually powerful moments in the temple.
Mangla Darshan
7:00 – 8:00 AM – Darshan opens right after Mangla Aarti, while the crowds are still small and the morning air is cool. It’s the best time for senior citizens and families to have a peaceful darshan.
Abhishek (Snan)
8:00 – 9:00 AM – The Lord is given a sacred bath with milk, curd, honey and holy water. Darshan stays closed during this private ritual.
Shringar Darshan
9:00 – 10:30 AM – Lord Dwarkadhish is dressed in fresh clothes, gold jewellery and flower garlands for the day. Devotees love this darshan for the Lord’s beautiful daily look.
Shringar Aarti
10:30 AM – An aarti offered once the Lord’s adornment is complete, celebrating his royal appearance as the King of Dwarka.
Rajbhog
12:00 PM – The grand midday meal offered to Lord Krishna, with many traditional dishes. Part of this sacred bhog is later shared with devotees as prasad.
Anosar (Temple Closed)
1:00 – 5:00 PM – The Lord rests in the afternoon, and the temple stays closed for darshan. Use this time for lunch, rest or a visit to Gomti Ghat.
Uthappan Darshan
5:00 PM – The temple reopens as the Lord wakes from his afternoon rest. Evening darshan begins, and the temple slowly fills with devotees.
Sandhya Aarti
7:30 PM – The evening aarti, performed as the sun sets over the Arabian Sea, with lamps, chants and temple bells. It’s the most crowded and lively aarti of the day, so arrive early for a good view.
Shayan Aarti
8:30 PM – The final aarti of the day, as the Lord is prepared for night rest. It’s a calm, peaceful aarti filled with soft devotional songs.
Temple Closes
9:30 PM – The last darshan of the day before the temple doors close for the night.

Are mobile phones allowed inside Dwarkadhish temple?
No. Mobile phones, cameras, bags and leather items are not allowed inside the Dwarkadhish temple. Paid locker and shoe-stand facilities are available near the temple gates. Photos of the temple can be taken from outside, from Gomti Ghat and from Sudama Setu.
Is there a dress code at Dwarkadhish temple?

Yes. Book through the temple office, but dates often fill months ahead, so book early.
